Why Choose Dermapen® Microneedling

The Dermapen® takes microneedling to a whole new level of mastery. Microneedling is well known to rejuvenate your skin leaving it plumper/ smoother, and more evenly toned with a radiant glow. The Dermapen® allows for adjustable needle depths unlike some other devices, thus enabling the treatment to be tailored to your personal requirements. Due to the advanced design of the Dermapen® needles are injected vertically so that it can easily penetrate scar tissue, and its advanced speed control feature creates more needle stimulation, enhancing collagen production, whilst minimising discomfort and required down time.

The Key Benefits of Microneedling

Microneedling Is a more natural and wholistic approach to wrinkle reduction and antiaging the appearance of your skin. Microneedling, often referred to as Collagen Induction Therapy, does exactly as it says. Microneedles are used to Induce micro injuries and stimulate your bodies natural healing response (deposition of both collagen and elastin to the targeted site). It works with the body in a therapeutic manner, without the need to inject foreign matter or toxic substances.

How Dermapen® Microneedling Works

The Dermapen® microneedling process provides an unparalleled response through the light piercing of the skin via micro needles, this creates micro-injuries to the epidermis and dermis. This is “how micro needling works” by creating these micro-injuries to the skin. Thus encouraging and harnessing the power of the body’s innate ability to repair, through the normal healing processes. The first phase for the skin to go about healing these micro injuries, is through the bodies natural cellular and hormonal responses that have been stimulated to bring about structural repair. The second phase of wound healing involves the depositing of collagen III, IV and I, elastin, proteoglycans, and GAGs. The last phase results in tissue remodelling where the skins vascular matrix matures and skin tightening occurs. The body’s ability to heal itself is at the heart of this amazing process. The downtime is minimal at 24 – 48 hours, and often coverable with makeup. The skin will then have a brighter glow and more youthful appearance, with optimal results occurring over the next 8 weeks.

Is Dermapen® Microneedling Safe

Skin needling does not involve injections and therefore allergic reactions and side-effects are unlikely to occur. It is minimally invasive, involves minimal downtime, with rapid healing and simple after-care. Unlike laser for skin rejuvenation, microneedling actually evens out skin tone, and is suitable for all skin tones/types. We are certified Dermapen® practitioners and follow a strict code of conduct.
